Structured Baguette Bag with Interchangeable Straps in Spanish Calfskin
Handcrafted structured elegant crossbody bag in a baguette shape with cute flap closure. Handmade using Spanish calfskin in beige and the bag interior lined in French Chevre in the color cream. Designed for classy evenings with a removable shoulder strap or for a casual outing paired with an adjustable crossbody strap. The cute silhouette in a neutral color block allows this structured crossbody bag to be a perfect accessory for evening or day time carry. Fully saddle stitched construction with no plastic used in the build and the hardware used is a combination of gold brass and stainless steel with 24k gold plating. The client wanted the pragmatic use of a structured bag with environmentally friendly materials.
This structured baguette flap bag was inspired by a previous sketch of mine where I wanted to create an elegant and minimalistic bag. The spacious single compartment can carry reasonably sized items with an essential interior sleeve pocket to hold smaller necessities. All of the edges were aesthetically creased, painted and then polished with wax.. Works well for day-to-day use and is able to carry many common travel items such as a wallet, phone, keys, napkins, small makeup kit, etc.
